Philippe Devaud * 13.09.1955 in Zürich
Father – graphic artist
Mother – photographer
First inspiration from the parents and the grandfathers

 
Since 1971 Study trips in Europe (Drawing and portrait painting)
Training as an architectural model builder, restorator, conservator, for murals, canvas and panel art pieces, sculptures.

1975-1981 further training as restorator, nude drawing at the Arts and Crafts School in Zurich.
Experimental creating at the independent Art School of Colour and Form in Zurich


1981 Study visit to the south of France, afterwards move to Germany


1983-1987 acceptance of governmental and private commissions for the restoration of murals and canvas paintings, independent creativity


Since 1987 working exclusively as a freelance artist

Since 1998 Producing his own paper, called HANAKAMI

Since 2006 he is teaching at the New York Academy of Art

Numerous independent and group exhibitions at home and abroad
